Autumn!
Well, it’s nearly the end of the season and the job at Yarmouth Harbour is about to come to an end. There was a permanent position going but 4 of us went for it and the guy who has done 2 seasons got it – not wholly unexpected but disappointing nonetheless. So, it’s time to find something to do for the winter. There isn’t much about at the mo but I daresay the retailers will be looking for a few Christmas staff (probably at minimum wage) which will be better than nothing.
Apart from work we have been busy with Finn our Chocolate Lab pup, he’s 20 weeks old and a real handful at the mo. We are hoping that he’ll calm down a bit so we can show him in October.
Carolyn’s daughter Charlotte came over today – her cruise ship is in Southampton for a change over, off to Fowey, Cork and New York, then 8 weeks on the East Coast of USA and the Caribbean for her. Hayley is here tomorrow on her way to Bestival which will be nice. We will probably end up witha house full of muddy, wet 20 somethings on Sunday night/early Monday morning…
Moving – Again!
Yup, we’re off again. This time to the Isle of Wight! It’s something about Island living that appeals. Also nearer to friends and family than the depths of Devon (nice though it is).
D-Day is the 12th March, and as per last year, nowhere to live for a couple of weeks so we’ve rented a holiday home and will just doss about and go, hopefully for some job interviews
It’s all gone Pete Tong!
House sold, nowhere to live, 4 cats & a dog to house – well, that will be us on Friday if it all goes according to our buyers plans. Propose to schlepp off to Dartmouh, Devon for a couple of months while the English Solicitors sort out our purchase. Had a good spin out on the Cliff Paths this PM thus avoiding packing – 8 of us, sunny and dry with a bit of a breeze
Gotta get my beauty sleep – mucho packing tomoz.

Christmas Treat :-))
Just bought the most expensive thing other than a house – a BMW R1200RT, previously enjoyed but only just! 7,400 miles on the clock, one owner since Feb 2008. It’s immaculate. Just got to part with the trusty R1100RT now to make a parking space.
Can’t wait to get off the rock and get some miles in.
Nipped out for some training in between rain showers today. Looked as if there was a tornado/waterspout over Guernsey (hah!)
It’s raining – again :-(
The weekend MTB race venue has changed as the original is underwater! Back to our old favourite at Val De La Mar, more like a Crit course than XC but at least it’s rideable.
Big decision on the future made today – House is on the market and we are off to England, Monday to have a look at some new ones! Business is sold with effect from the end of the year so I need to fix up an income pronto……
